Quiz: State of Retirement Planning

A happy senior couple calculating their finances in a beautiful home.

Each year, Fidelity Investments conducts a State of Retirement Planning Study to get a “status check” on the retirement preparations underway by Baby Boomers (ages 59–77), Gen X (ages 43–58), Millennials (ages 27–42) and Gen Z (ages 18–26).

The study looks to provide a snapshot of the progress Americans have made in pursuing their retirement goals. It also looks to give insights into the attitudes and behaviors of the more than 2,000 persons surveyed as they prepare for – or live in – retirement.

As we create retirement strategies, understanding your goals is one of our primary focuses. Once we have a good idea about your goals, we can create a personalized investment approach that reflects your time horizon and risk tolerance. We also understand that goals change over time, so we routinely revisit your current ideas so that we can make adjustments along the way.

Take the quiz and see if any answers surprise you. When we took the quiz, we definitely experienced a few “ah-ha” moments!
